From Industry Pressures to Cosmos’s Specific Challenges
The mechanical manufacturing industry demands high precision and on-time delivery. Furthermore, mechanical enterprises are facing the challenge of operational optimization as production scales expand and order volumes increase, while production capacity and management capabilities remain limited.
As a leading enterprise in the field of precision machining and mechanical fabrication, COSMOS is no exception to these challenges. With a system of three factories in Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, Cosmos must simultaneously solve three major problems:
- Production Planning: How to optimize resource allocation, ensure on-time production, and minimize idle time?
- Warehouse Management: How to accurately control raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods across multiple warehouses?
- Progress Control: Is there a way to update production status instantaneously without relying on manual reports?

The 3S iFACTORY Solution: Streaming Data Flows and Mastering Production Progress
In response to the booming Industry 4.0 revolution, COSMOS selected the 3S iFACTORY smart factory solution from ITG Technology to digitalize its entire production operations. The system has helped COSMOS optimize operational efficiency under the ‘Be Lean – Be Seen’ philosophy, while untying each ‘knot’ in the three major challenges of the mechanical industry.
The 3S iFACTORY solution establishes a seamless flow of information across all departments and divisions within COSMOS. This creates the foundation to solve the core problem—Production Planning—enabling the enterprise to allocate resources accurately, ensure production schedules, and minimize wasted time and materials.
'All data within the production planning axis is visualized across the entire system, helping managers and workshops promptly adjust and grasp production plans to make the most suitable changes according to the customers' delivery schedules.
